Syngraph can generate statistics on the name usage, author efficiency, or number of taxa described over time. The program counts the number of entries, original descriptions, and valid names from the database. It calculates the ratio between the number of new names described over time and the actual number of valid sppecies.
For each author of taxon names in the database, Syngraph can calculate a ratio between the number of new names described and the number of valid species. The results of all authors can be graphed as a histogram of author efficiency. Such a graph can be exported as a bitmap image (*.bmp).
