How to change the settings for an adjective


How to:
Add a new adjective
Set the adjective to be modified
Change the type of an adjective
Change the name to which an adjective applies


Set the taxon name on which you are working (number 1 below)

1. Set the current name using the Search form or Synonym display form (how to set the current name) 

2. Open the entry form (Ctrl+E)

3. Click on the Adjectives tab (2)


To add a new adjective:

1. Click on the add new button (number 4 above)

2. An "add adjective" item will be drawn in the synonym display (below)

3. Follow instructions on how to:

 Change the type of an adjective
Change the name to which the adjective applies

To modify an existing adjective set the adjective to be modified

1. From the list of adjectives (number 3 above) select the adjective that you want to change and then click on the button modify button (4)

2. The active adjective will be highlighted in blue in the graphical synonym display (below)

 

3. Follow instructions on how to:

 Change the type of an adjective
Change the name to which the adjective applies

Change the type of an adjective

1. Click on the "change ADJECTIVE" button (number 2 below)

2. Scroll the list of adjectives (3) and select adjective you want

3. In the synonym display, the type of the adjective will change to the one you selected from the list

4. If you cannot find the adjective you want, click on the "Add/edit adjectives" button and add the adjective to the database

5. Click on the "Stop edit" button (1) or set the name to which the adjective applies



Change the name to which an adjective applies

1. Click on the "change "NAME" addressed" button (number 6 above)

2. An array of green buttons will be listed on the graphic display

3. Click on one of the green buttons to change the name to which the adjective applies (see above)

4. The adjective will be redrawn as you indicated (see below)

5. Click on the "Stop edit" button (number 1 above) or set the type of the adjective
