Small Corallimorphidae often forming groups of individuals. Asexual reproduction by longitudinal fission usual. Form of the individuals variable according to state of contraction. Sphincter weak, diffuse. Only a single tentacle communicating with each exocoel. All or most of the endocoelic tentacles arranged in radial rows with 2-5 tentacles in each row. Outer tentacles larger than the inner ones, exocoelic tentacles longest of all. Acrospheres of the tentacles very distinct and provided with numerous nematocysts. Often gregarious. Cnidom: spirocysts, atrichs?, holotrichs, microbasic p- and b-mastigophors.
