Calamactinia n. gen.

Halcampoididae with the elongate body divisible into scapus and scapulus. Scapus without nematocyst papillae but with a rather thick, easily deciduous cuticle. Sphincter absent. Tentacles rather long up to 24. Longitudinal muscles of tentacles and radial muscles of oral disc ectodermal. 2 weak siphonoglyphs and 2 pairs of directives. Mesenteries divisible into macro- and microcnemes. 6 pairs of macrocnemes. Same number of mesenteries proximally and distally. Retractors of the macrocnemes restricted to almost circumscribed. Dioecious. Cnidom: spirocysts, basitrichs, microbasic p-mastigophors.
