Thenaria (Endomyaria) with well developed basal disc.
Column smooth. No sphincter. Oral disc thrown into long, tentacle-like
arms (lobes) which up to 48 in number are cyclically arranged, and bear
either dendritic tentacles or conical, simple ones. Tentacles with large
nematocysts. 2 well developed siphonoglyphs. Pairs of mesenteries up to
48, all or almost all perfect and, apart from the directives, fertile.
Retractors diffuse, broad, band-like. Parietobasilar and basilar muscles
distinct. Cnidom: spirocysts, basitrichs.
