Playing With Your Food
March 2007
Visitors were encouraged to play with their food - using eggs, pickles, licorice and more to explore science. Participants delved into genetics with gummy fish, experimented with duck sauce divers, used static to make cereal dance, launched marshmallows, investigated the properties of light using gelatin, made baking soda blasters--and watched electric pickle and exploding cornstarch shows throughout the day. The Munchy Crunchy gallery trail showcased what living things eat and how they get their food, and Quick Bites posters highlighted unusual food facts.
